This week, Mat3ra joined the 81st Annual Meeting of the Japan Physical Society (JPS) at the University of Tokyo's Komaba Campus, held September 14–17, 2026. Timur Bazhirov, together with Jean-Dominique Francois, represented Mat3ra at Booth 3-2, talking with the next generation of physicists about how materials discovery gets done.
The central theme of Mat3ra's presence was breaking down the wall between theory and experiment. For too long, computational modeling and lab experimentation have operated in separate silos. At JPS 2026, the team showed how browser-native physics enables seamless co-design and co-creation between theorists and experimentalists — without the technical barriers that have traditionally held teams back.

Visitors to Booth 3-2 saw live workflows in action, discussed co-design, and picked up a Mat3ra turtle sticker — alongside posters on diffusion analysis of Li ions in all-solid-state battery electrolytes using neural network MD, and on connecting experiment and theory to close the loop.
