A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour Took Place in Lafayette on May 3

On May 3, Mat3ra hosted another A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour in Lafayette, California, bringing together researchers, builders, and entrepreneurs for informal conversations at the intersection of AI and science. The event highlighted the value of in-person community gatherings for sharing ideas and building new connections across scientific fields.

On May 3, we hosted another A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour at Social Bird in Lafayette, California — a casual gathering for people interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence and science.

The event brought together researchers, builders, entrepreneurs, and curious minds from across materials science and neighboring fields. In a relaxed setting, participants had the chance to meet in person, exchange ideas, discuss current projects, and talk about how AI is shaping the future of scientific research.

A.I. 2 Science Happy Hour is designed as an open space for conversation across disciplines — from materials science and chemistry to biology and beyond. Rather than a formal conference format, the goal is to create an environment where meaningful discussions can happen naturally, and where new connections can grow into future collaborations.

The May 3 gathering once again showed the value of in-person community events for people working at the boundary of science, computation, and innovation. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening engaging, thoughtful, and welcoming.
